" But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt,
because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea,
blown and tossed by the wind. "James 1:6 (NIV)
Like a house, the walls enclose a private space. It provides shelter and security. It gives the house structure. After committing yourself to the relationship, you must truly give it your all. You must believe that He wants the best for you. Be consistent and trust Him with whatever He throws your way. That includes placing all your stress into His hands when times get tough.
When we stress, we are worried, anxious, and fearful of something that either:
1. happened, or
2. may happen.
Change your outlook on these situations. You shouldn’t doubt that it will all be okay because if God allowed it, it was supposed to be. I pray for His guidance through my “growing” times. I thank Him for the newfound wisdom and grace. I assure Him that I understand that this experience is all apart of a plan to reach my destiny.
Reflect on the monumental events that changed your life, whether received as “good” or “bad”. Was it a cheerful moment that reassured you that working hard and being kind can be rewarded? Was it a troubling moment that changed your perspective on something and made you turn your life around? Regardless of the event, view them all as blessings and lessons. They are sculpting you into the person God wants you to become. Remember, without the rain, there would be no rainbow.
Let go and let God.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
